How is the price of zinc calculated?

Zinc is traded on the London Metal Exchange and the Shanghai Metal Exchange. Since lead, tin and zinc look very similar, we have uploaded an explanatory video on our YouTube channel to help you distinguish between them.

How do Schrott24 come up with their price for zinc?

Thanks to our extensive partner network of scrap dealers, we can offer the best prices for zinc. We use our intelligent tools to dynamically match supply and demand. We publish the latest scrap prices for zinc on our online platform. To get the best possible price for your zinc, it is important to separate out the different types of zinc from each other. Its surface takes on a silver-white color when exposed to air, forming a protective layer of zinc oxide and zinc carbonate. Zinc sheets should not be confused with hot-dip galvanized steel sheets, which are often incorrectly referred to as zinc sheet or tinplate. To get the best prices for zinc, make sure to ship the different types of zinc separately.

What is zinc and where does it come from?

Zinc is a bluish-white metal that is characterized by its high resistance to corrosion. Its surface takes on a silver-white color when exposed to air, forming a protective layer of zinc oxide and zinc carbonate.
